Today with Black Timber Company we are making this #diy #modernfarmhouse #bed. Design was sketched out onto 3/4″ plywood for both the head and footboard. Design was then cut out using a jigsaw. Shiplap design was then cut into the head and footboards with a circular saw, blade being only set to cut into the plywood at about an 1/8″ depth cut. Additional 3/4″ plywood was glued and screwed to make a thicker head and footboard. Router with a flush trim but was then used to follow the head and footboard original cutouts. Legs were made with popular wood (doulas fir or pine would work as a well). Legs were then joined to the head and footboard using my festoon domino, pocket hole screws could be substituted here. 4 coats of paint was applied using my Graco 360 airless paint sprayer.
