I’ve played a few different paragliding games before and always found the problem of what controls you use. Mouse and Keyboard aren’t great. It’s kind of similar to a flight sim or car racing game, you need a joystick or racing wheel really.
So, I decided to design and make my own. I had various concepts but ended up going for sliding potentiometer because they are cheap compact and readily available.
From those I designed my case around it, with a few features to make it more durable, and easy to use, and it turned out quite nice, looks like a product you could buy in a store!
It uses a bunch of potentiometers, buttons and toggles and an arduino pro micro. The wiring is very simple as is the code. If you’re interested in building your own I’ll have the 3D printable cad files on Patreon as well as the code for the arduino. If there is enough demand I could make these available to buy in the future.
