Almond milk is a great source of calcium and a healthy dairy-free alternative to regular cow’s milk. Great for people who are lactose intolerant or vegan. So why not learn how to make it at home? Nuts.com has partnered with Miryam Quinn Doblas, Registered Dietitian and founder of EatGood4Life, to bring you this exciting DIY recipe video that shows you how to make almond milk at home with only four ingredients!
Almond Milk Recipe
1 cup raw almonds
3 cups filtered water
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
Pour the filtered water into the almonds and let them sit at least 8 hours (overnight is ideal).
Drain the almonds and then place into blender. Add 3 cups of water, 2-3 dates depending on desired sweetness, and vanilla extract. Then blend.
Place nut milk bag inside of a bowl, and pour mixture into it to remove any pulp. Be sure to squeeze all the liquid out of the bag.
Pour the milk into a jar and set pulp aside (can use for baking). Enjoy!
