How to make a wood burning machine out of a microwave! A new DIY project thats turned into a fantastic coat rack that suits my house perfectly.
Many thanks go to the Backyard Scientist for his Lichtenberg Figure videos that i saw a few months ago.
You can see some pictures here on the fb page
Interesting new project done and dusted, using very high voltage to etch a pattern into timer. This was a test piece…
I thought id got these out of a skip but i was given them by Mark whos been scrapping caravans recently.
Warning, better put this in, your jacking live voltages even higher, from the mains, its dangerous, just be aware, make sure cats and kids are locked in the house. Only do this if youre confident of your abilities and skillset.
Timber was apiece of sawmill offcut that i got quite a few months ago for nothing and i had some pegs in the workshop that my partner let me have for nothing. Most kind of her 🙂
Used saltwater as a conductant, i didnt have any baking soda.
Excellent effect, looks almost like fractals. will be carrying on and making some viking chairs soon so the will be getting an interesting twist to them. Ill be doing more of this soon, wouldnt mind seeing it on a staff?
